Family is a collection of two or more people who live together with rules and emotional attachments and individuals have their respective roles which are parts of the family. The existence of several factors resulted in a family that was divided, and had an impact on the condition of the child. This study aims to determine the background and impact of broken home on children's behavior in the Subah District area.

In preparing this report, observation methods, interview methods, documentary methods, data analysis methods were used.

Broken home is a condition where a family is not harmonious and does not walk like a harmonious and peaceful family. Broken home is caused by parental activity and economic factors, if the economy is not fulfilled, those who feel unfulfilled will demand their rights. The impact of broken home can make children become quiet, mischievous, and scary individuals who are as a place to release children on something they have not achieved. Child behavior broken home tends to be closed but brutal. They will act closed in the problems faced and can vent it brutally un directed. The behavior of children exposed to broken home can cause distrust of their abilities and position, and make it difficult for children to get along with their surroundings.

Suggestions, improved socialization of the impact of broken home as well as the utilization of good family time can reduce children's risk of broken home.
